This page is all about me.
Hi! My name is Martin! I am 30 years old and have been surfing the net for the last few years. I decided to put this website up to gauge opinion on my stories and also to let people know I’m here. I am blind, but due to the advance of technology, I am able to work with computers almost as extensively as someone with full vision is able to.
I have many interests and hobbies. As well as story writing, I also have a keen interest in everything animal related. I suppose that’s self explanatory given the stories I write. I surf the web looking for stories about animals, both fictitious and factual. I also have in the past contributed to interactive story pages concerned with horses.
I have contributed to the horsy story on the storybook on line site. Find this at:
If you’d like to read the current story that I helped with, now finished, , please visit the following link
Willow island, a horse story..
I also on the factual front search for breed info and other useful stuff about horses, such as feeding, grooming info etc. My favourite small horse is the Falabella. A great site for information on this magnificent miniature horse is:
The international Falabella miniature horse society website.
When I’ve got enough money to do so, I also ride horses.
I’ve also written an article about horse riding. Find it at:
I collect soft toy animals. You can read more about these from the homepage.
I have also worked as a presenter at my local student run radio station at my local college. The station is run on a voluntary bases, but it’s run as a fully fledged independent station. The station is called SCAMRADIO. SCAM stands for Suffolk College Alternative Music. You can find Scam radio’s website at:
In my spare time, I listen to music and talking books. Among my favourite bands is one that have been going for over thirty years. Find their website at:
Status quo’s official website.
As for talking books, two of my favourite authors are:
Bill Bryson.
Bill Bryson has written books such as:
Made in
Notes from a big country
The lost continent
A walk in the woods
Neither here nor there.
I also enjoy listening to the books of Dick Francis, yes, horses again I’m afraid.
Dick Frances’s books include:
Straight
Come back
Come to grief
Odds against
Bolt,
There are many other books written by Dick Francis, too many to mention here, but I like all of them.
Andy Mcnab.
Andy Mcnab, an Ex member of the SAS , has written many books, both based on his life within the SAS and ficticious books revolving around the life of a central character, Nick Stone, who works for the secret services. Andy Mcnab’s books include:
Non fiction books
Bravo 2-0
Immediate action
Fictional books
Remote control.
Crisis 4
Liberation day
Last light
firewall
dark winter
deep black
I also sing karaoke style. I mostly sing Boyzone, the commitments, Spandal Ballet and Status quo tracks, with occasional renditions of Don McLain’s version of American pie, and yes, it is the full nine minute forty second version.
I used to sing in a rock band, who sent by the name of BBL but
I have now left the rock Band BBL. I wish them every success in the future.
As of mid 2003, I started collecting soft toy animals, they became and, at time of writing, are still inspiration for more creative writing.
